Structure your Virtual MeetingsUse a PowerPoint or Google Slides to give your meeting structure. Set guidelines for how Pathfinders will interact in the meeting. Have meeting elements that repeat weekly so Pathfinders know what to expect. Delegate meeting tasks to other staff members and/or TLTs.
Repeated Weekly Meeting Elements:
- Review Meeting Guidelines - Opening Prayer - Worship - Say Pledge & Law - Sharing Time - an opportunity for each Pathfinder to speak about the question/topic of the meeting - Announcements - Closing Prayer Sample Meeting Slides (Google Slides) - This is a sample of actual meeting slides from my club's virtual meeting on April 22.
Sample Virtual meetingSharing TimeIt's easy for Virtual Pathfinder meetings to become "sit-and-get." Routinely and purposefully plan ways to engaged and interact with your kids. Sharing time might be just the trick. Select a discussion question or conversation topic and ask each Pathfinder to share their thoughts. Check out the video below.

For a more secrue meeting on Zoom: - enable the waiting room - disable "join before host" - have participants use the video feature - use a meeting password - only allow the host to screenshare Get some Guest SpeakersHaving one person talk the whole time is most likely boring. So break up the time with different speakers; other staff, other kids, or guest speakers. Try to remember the attention span of our Pathfinders and keep each segment 10-20 minutes depending on the content.
