Flap Foldable for Teaching Honors
Here's an idea to help you teach the paperwork section of pathfinder honors in a more creative way... the "flap foldable." A foldable can organize information in many different ways. This foldable, with flaps, can be made in several different ways and be used for many different honors. You need: 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of white or colored paper a pair of scissors colored pencils / markers / crayons pencil / pen How to: 1. Fold a sheet of 8 1/2 X 11 paper in half "hot dog" style. (see video for description) 2. For "6 flap foldable"... fold the paper in half the other direction. Fold each half in thirds. Open up to reveal six sections. For other sizes, simply fold the paper into the amount of sections you desire. 3. Cut the flaps: Open the paper all the way. Cute from edge to center fold line on the fold lines. Uses: 1. Flower Honor #3 - Honor requirement asks you to name six flower families and their characteristics. A "6 flap foldable" is perfect for recording these six items. 2. Archery Honor #4 - Honor requirement asks you to describe and tell how to use five pieces of archery equipment. A "5 flap foldable" can easily organize this information. 3. Adventurer for Christ Honor #1 - Honor requirement asks you to develop a prayer diary and have a daily devotional. A "7 flap foldable" (1 flap for each day of the week) is a creative way to hold thoughts and prayers. Possibilities for uses of this foldable are endless. Door Foldable for Pathfinder Honors
Here's an idea to help you teach the paperwork section of pathfinder honors in a more creative way... the "door foldable." A foldable can organize information in many different ways. This foldable, with doors, can be made in several different ways and be used for many different honors. You need: 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of white or colored paper a pair of scissors colored pencils / markers / crayons pencil / pen Uses: 1. Outdoor Leadership #7 - Honor requirement asks you to name some Bible characters and how they are influenced by the outdoors. This 4-door horizontal foldable can organize this information for you. 2. Animal Tracking #7 - Honor requirement asks you to tell the difference between squirrel and rabbit tracks AND cat and dog tracks. You can show this using a 4-door foldable. 3. Chemistry #2, 3, and 4 - Honor requirements asks name the states of matter, gasses that extinguish life, and two sources of carbon monoxide gas. A unique 6-door foldable can help with this information. Possibilities for uses of this "door" foldable are endless.
